Elaine McRey has been interested in genealogy since she learned that when the Mayflower landed, her ancestors were already here. However, don’t forget the first rule of genealogy– your grandmother’s stories may not be true! Elaine’s been working in public libraries since 1990 and earned her library degree in 1999. She’s been a librarian in the Virginia Room since 2008.
