Eric Buckland has written several books on some of the men who rode as Mosby’s Rangers during the U.S. Civil War. He is President of the Stuart-Mosby Historical Society and a volunteer for the Mosby Heritage Area Association.
Buckland’s talk will focus on the activities and accomplishments of several women who married members of the Mosby Rangers during and after the Civil War. Depending on the woman –and the Ranger she married —the extraordinary ladies who will be discussed faced “interesting” challenges with both their husbands and the era in which they lived. They were remarkable women. Their legacies live on.
